Auckland 27-300309

Holaaaaaaaaaaaa!
I am back from Auckland!!!!
It's 0332 hours now, and I can't sleep!!I am sooooo happy!
At the moment, I am back in Singapore, amidst packing for my one week KL trip starting tomorrow, and am waiting for my laundry to be done. My flight's at 0910 h0urs, I have a feeling I am not going to be able to get any sleep tonight!
oooooooh I am sooo excited to be on a one week holiday once again~~~

tralalaalalala. gosh, I 've so many holiday plans at the mo' I am sooooo confused and excited; where to go, when to go, where to shop, what to buy, where to buy, where to club , what to wear !!

First things first,

Auckland.

Hmm, most of the people I know would say that it's a boring place. Personally, I LOVE THE PLACE! I love the lazy laid back lifestyle, the sandy beaches, the people, the shopping...

Best of all, I managed to meet up with a really good friend of mine from high school. We sat next to each other for two years, in Form 4 and 5 (that would be the last two final years of Malaysian highschool).
Gracie, thank you so much for the wonderful time in Auckland!

Also, Tricia, my batchgirl was with me in Auckland, babe, hang out again super soon k!! I can't wait for part II!

Ok, I think my laundry's done! yey!

Day One: SHOPPINGGG!!!

Here's Tricia and I out and about Queen Street.. SHOPPING!

Tricia, Linda, Jeffrey and I at Occidental for dinner. It's near Supre, and the mussels are really good! So was the salmon that I had.

After dinner, we took a really long walk to the supermarket to get some fruits, took a pic of this tree which was just so pretty!

Day 2: Grace comes to take us out!

Yep. that's the city of Auckland. Such a Beautiful sight!

We shared some nachos..

Tricia had french toast for brunch

and I had chicken sandwich. Scrumptious!

Gracie and Ping

us and our Movenpick ice cream post lunch. Here's a pic of us at Mission Bay. We had Hokey Pokey and Vanilla Brownie. The vanilla brownie rocks!

love you too!

Tricia, I am glad we got to know each other better this trip! :)

Mission Bay beach.I like :)

A quick pic before leaving for the rose garden in Pannell

Then, Gracie brought us to the Rose Garden in Pannell, very near Mission Bay. It was beautiful!!! I really am so in love with these shots I have of the flowers!! I would have taken more except my camera's battery died on me, so the rest of the pics are in Tricia's camera. Pictures of Mt. Eden, a dormant volcano we visited just before heading back to the hotel are also with Tricia! Tricia oh tricia, quick, upload pics!!! :p

I really love this photo. At this point , my camera's battery died. :( The rest of the pictures taken on Mount Eden are in Tricia's camera! Shall update once I get my hands on 'em!

...
and yes.. I did shop in Auckland (how could I have not??!!)

I bought some dresses at Supre, and my splurge of the day:

I am soooooooo happy!!!!

nights ya'll!!
ciaooo!!!

karaoke session

So we all came back to SG on the 24th.
And we decided to go for karaoke on the 25th!
One problem though. I was terribly sick from food poisoning.
I managed to meet up with the gang though towards the end of the evening.

See you guys super soon!!!!! :)

Good morningggggg Istanbul!!!! 210309

My Spinach pastry from this cafe on walking street near our hotel, for only 5 Lira. Yummy!

It was the elections in Istanbul. We were warned against going out in Istanbul , because elections tend to be pretty hostile here. While the rest decided to stay put in the hotel, John and I were both quite adamant about touring Istanbul. So, we did :)

the car ride to Blue Mosque

us with the Hagia Sophia-formerly the world's largest cathedral for almost a thousand years until 1520.

and , the Blue Mosque, the national mosque of Turkey.

John John and I inside the Blue Mosque :)

outside the Grand Bazaar

us at the Grand Bazaar, which is really a huge colourful indoor market, with all things possible- clothing, to handbags to bowls, carpets...

the bowls at the Grand Bazaar that were oh-just-too-pretty, I would love to buy a few back myself, but I was worried that it won't make it back to Singapore in one piece :S

with some Turkish University. It was freezing, and John and I were both keen to make the most of our Istanbul day out. So here it is, random pics of touristy-important-looking-buildings!!

another important looking monument- problem is, don't quite know what it is. LOL

this is the view from my hotel room in Istanbul. I just love the water!!

Back in Dubai 230309...

Once we got back to Dubai, we decided to order delivery from the nearby Indian restaurant, SilverEagle. Yummy! We had a few empty rooms as a few of us bunked in, and I was bunking in with Jocelyn, so we used my room for our dinner party and bitching/gossip session!!

Final day in Dubai 240309..
Jocelyn and I both woke up super hungry on the last day of our Dubai trip, and we wanted buffet breakfast!!! So we dragged John and Angela along, sorry no pics here, all of us were half dressed in pajamas ! :S But here's a pic of one of the many helpings I had of the cinnamon french toast with chocolate sauce. YUm!! Hmm wonder if that was the cause of my 3 day diarrhoea post-Dubai!
