Home Sweet Home : FOUND!

MY ROOM

OUR LIVING ROOM

Turns out that there REALLY is an Apartment of Gods somehow!!!
Sam, Rach and I managed yesterday to find THE APARTMENT.

It's absolutely gorgeous, and PERFECT! (ok.. maybe it'll be a lot more perfect if it came with a lower rent) but.. It's near some shopping mall, its near work, its near the bus stop, near the beach. Best of all, we are all happy with it, and we get to be House mates !!!! I can't WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
woooo hooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!
This is Bo the SUPER NAUGHTY FAT CAT ( NOTE: she belongs to our landlord. Unfortunately, No.. she does not come with the UNIT. ) :(

random bits from the wkend*

AM terribly exhausted, Sam and I just ran for what I think was the WHOLE OF SIMEI to get to Block 157 from where we live, all around I SWEAR-THRU playgrounds, SHODDY looking bus stops, mini marts , and even a clinic- Only to find SUPRISE SUPRISE! -the unit is ACTUALLY just right next to our unit, FROM THE LEFT!!!!! LOL.
At least we got the long OVERDUED 'jog around the park' as we promised we'd make ourselves when we just moved to Simei.

So anyways.. we arrived at block 157, all hot and sweaty from 'the jog'- (so much for creating a glamorous-first-impression on our prospective landlord) Only to find the damn unit's not on LIFT LEVEL!!! $%*#^@^^!!! afgggh.
OH WELL.
Honestly..I can't wait to get a place of my own, but APARTMENT HUNTING is a PAIN IN THE ARSE!!Let's hope tomorrow's units will be THE ONE. *prays to the God of APARTMENTS!*

Anyways.. here's some pics from the weekend.
Nights!!

august updates

GUESS WHERE I"M GOING???!!!

BEIJING AND ADELAIDE in August.WOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am sooo excited,I am ready to pack my bags and leave already!

I am busy googling Beijing and Adelaide at the mo.
Lonely Planet describes Adelaide as...

"Calming Hills, crashing waves and a Whole valley of Wine."

OK OK.. i know i know, Adelaide has got a boring, sleepy vibe to it. It's also known as .. the CITY OF CHURCHES. Google it, and you'll find keywords like.. hills, relaxing, vineyards (HMM come to think of it, I DO WANT TO VISIT ONE!!), CHURCHES..
BUT BUT.. Scroll down the middle of Lonely Planet's first para on Adelaide, and
you'll find the following sentence:

"Nowadays, much to the wowsers' chagrin, pubs and nightclubs outnumber the churches."

AHA. Now we are talking business!!

Trams of Glenelg suburbs

Bird's eye view of Adelaide

Some photos of Beijing I've found on the net. I can't wait to take my own when I get there!!!

The best part of going to Beijing??!! We'll be just on time for the Olympics, Erik and Friso's going to be there, AND we get one full day with Rachel!!! PARTyy party!!!

woot! Así es la vida!

homecoming and a funeral

Someone told me once, it's better to have had something happened, than to not have it happen at all. That someone was that idiot, but somehow, it makes perfect sense to me today.
Auntie Ai boon passed away yesterday. It didn't come as a shock for me, I sort of had a feeling that she would pass on this weekend, I just didnt expect her to pass on before I say good bye. I said it in my heart each time I prayed, that she'd wait for me to come home. Perhaps I didnt say it clear enough; for she did wait for me to come home, but she just didn't wait for me to make it to the hospital to say good bye.
Life is short, and while we live, we should let our loved ones know how much we love them. It's funny how we go about our lives, taking the people we love the most for granted, it's only when we lose them that we realise how much meaning they've brought to our lives, just by being in it.

Gotta go, my bus is leavin in an hour.
So guys, life's short, and while we are alive, live Life. I am not sorry that Aunt ai boon left , because I know she s in a better place, and she'll never be dead in my heart so long as I remember her. It's better to have had a life, than to have none at all, so guys, appreciate the time you have, and tell the ones you love how much they mean to you.

Have a great sunday , good night.

Rewind*Remix

Cyn and I @BAr21

This is an old pic, from CNY.hmm I LoVE YEE SANG!

Us at Frames!

Ola!! Just got back from work!! Rachel(from Monash) came over to the school today, and its so good to see her after so long! Last I saw her was when she was giving Sam and I tips for our interview. We were at Starbucks, and we got so excited at the idea of working together, travelling and stuff.. cant believe it's all happening now! Anyways.. I am Waiting for Sam before we head out for dinner. We are going to the pet shop later to get some stuff for my darling muffin and sugarbun!

I am sorry I keep recycling old photos.
I have been addicted to photo editing lately, but I am so busy all the time , I dont have time to take new photos or even go out , and I am not allowed to post up the ones of me from work or in uniform. HENCE.. the only photos I can get my hands on are the old ones :(

I found a few apartment listed for rent today, woo hooooo! I am quite excited at the idea of getting my own place and doing it up. Lets just hope Sam and I find something that we both like, and in the same unit!
Gonna wash my mask off now. Will write again later, I have a million and one things on my TO-DO list for tonight. Bye!

Nightbirds

sashimi!!!

I am so hyper excited at the moment, I just cant go to sleep! Fedde Le Grand's "Get This Feeling"isn't quite helping me either!! At the moment , I am IN LOVE with Fedde L Grand's & Ida Cor 's Ibiza Remix too!! Reminds me of SUMMER BREAK!! WooooT!

I am brainstorming on my latest project at the moment. Unfortunately.. I cant say what it is, but I've been looking at prints and advertisements the past hour to get ideas.I am so excited!!! If it turns out great then I'll MAYBE post the photo/result here. READ: MAYBE :P

Anyways, I really can't wait to start shopping for winter clothes!! I need a pair of grey skinnies.. Nope, haven't bought my blue and black ones yet either!!Having doubts at the moment if I should, Rach mentioned that the workcraft's not so good since it's only $15!! And I really need a good pair if I am going to wear it while I travel!

Everyday's a crazy mad rush for me at the moment, TONS TO DO.. LOTs of rushing around, but I am Loving every minute of it. I just wish I have a little more than 24hours in a day!!!Guess what. Sam and I are apartment hunting once again. I am in love with Simei, it's a fantastic place to live in, and I love the unit we are currently living in, but its DARN EXPENSIVE!! We've decided to hunt around and see if there's a cheaper place in Simei, doesn't make sense for us to pay so much for our room when we are only in Singapore 10days a month.

Anyways..I found THE Japanese restaurant in Singapore. FINALLY!! Rach took me to Shokuro last night after work.. oh wait or is it Shokubo??!.. Damn it, forgot the restaurant's name, I had it just at the back of my head, but its gone now. ARG! Its near the City Hall Mrt, and its FABULOUS!! The concept's a lot like Marche's (Infact..come to think of it.. IT IS like MArche! They even have Japanese ROSTI there!! ) Except that it's Japanese! YUmM

Gtg , I am goin to see if there's anything interesting by Olivia Ong on youtube. Night!
