the domesticated queen (ALMOST)

I am a teensy sick at the moment with flu --agh! been downing tons of Redoxon Vitamin C (thanks Mum for endless supply of Redoxon!!) and Green Tea.

So just like most days, Saturday came and went in a mad rush. It has only been two months since Sam and I first moved to Singapore and two months since we first laid hands on a washing machine (and also found out that putting too much washing powder makes the clothes go sticky, not scrubbing the toilet floors often enough makes it SLIMY and YELLOW .. and YES! That we actually need to hit the 'ON"button for the washing machine to work); but I can daresay that we have quite become domesticated .. QUEENS!!!!

So we spent the entire Saturday window shopping.. for HOUSEHOLD items! at Raffles City! (or something something Raffles .. near the City Hall Mrt..Hmm let 's just call this place 'City Hall')
So anyways..'City Hall' is actually quite an interesting place to hang out. I think its my fave place at the moment (Warning: DONT YAWN JUST YET) .

There was this shoe storage compartment .. IT'S INGENIOUS!An absolute must have if you have little storage place in your room, or if you're looking for yet another clever ornament to add to your room.. or if you just have TOO MANY SHOES!! (or too much money to burn for that matter..) Whatever way, I am in love with it, and I am going to get it!
Anyways.. We spent most of the afternoon running about looking at cute luggage tags, key chains, cards, writing paper, make-up and bumming in the humour section of MPH (is there Borders in SPORE???)

The evening was 'glamorously' spent luggage hunting in Mustapha Centre. We were a bit apprehensive at first with the name of the centre itself, and the fact that it seemed quite far away from town.. but we got excited once we got there for it was a HUGE supermarket .. lots of make-up, electronic stuff.. and grocery items!!

Sam and I can DEFINITELY SHOP ANYWHERE,ANYTIME being the PROFESSIONAL SHOPAHOLICS we are.

We were quite happy to find our favourite Quaker Oats cluster cereal (btw, do you know that there is such a thing as Puppa Dum chips???!YUMMMM!) and quite a wide range of curtains and bed sheets to choose from.

Quite certain that Looks and Looks alone are ALL THAT MATTERS (when it comes to LUGGAGES of course !!:P ahem ahem *cough cough*..) we were in a bit of an emotional tug-of-war when deciding if we should get the oh-so-boring but EXTREMELY DURABLE- Samsonite, or the incredibly-stylish Elle Cabin Bag.. or the oh-so-cute(!!!!!) Hush Puppies cabin bag.

Salesmen changed shifts and went, replaced by the night-shift salesmen (Mustapha Centre opens 24 hours!!) AND YET.. we still couldn't decide. After much persuasion by poor and very patient Mr. cambodian/chinese salesman and frantic telephone calls to our dear mums and dads back home.. we chose THE SAMSONITE! :)

-THE End-

Note: Today, We found a tenant to take our current room in Simei!Which means.. we get our month deposit back, and we can now focus all our efforts on our new place!! I spent the whole of this morning looking at bedroom deco, and bedsheets online.. I AM EXCITED!

Loving the black and white wall paper and theme to this bedroom. Reminds me of my room in the Netherlands, with the overhead windows and you can look up to the sky!!

I am 100% in love with the deep purple comforter set in this one!!

gorgeous hanging-beds!!!

Ok--time to drown myself in yet another cup of Redoxon vitamin C :) have a fantastic Sunday evening ya'll!!!
