Most people are afraid of the unknown. Just slightly over a year ago, I used to get a bit agitated and nervous whenever Gian brought up the idea of me moving from Tampines.
See, then East of Singapore was the only place I called home in Singapore, and I was so comfortable living with Yv an Ivy. True we had our differences too, we are only humans at the end of the day, but yes, I thought I was pretty happy to be in Tampines, on familiar ground, with familiar people.
But now, sitting in front of the TV with a glass of homemade sangria, watching Airbender and chatting away while preparing dinner earlier- I think moving was probably one of the best decisions I've made all year!
See, it pays to always venture out of familiar ground!

Project Aqua - week 2
This weekend, we had a major revamp of the tank.
Hours spent hunting for plants and etc, and time spent on landscaping, I am real pleased with the results!
Another week or so to go before we start fillin it up with livestock!!

Year of the Dragon
Chinese New Year came and went, and am now in the cab, on the way to Gian's place. He's probably trading in the office, he made quite a lot last year this time, so he's back at it this year.
So yes, am back in Sg, revving up to jump start my year- tons of goals to achieve, things to do.
Bought a kick- ass book at the airport, a good read for the second day of the new year!
So yea, off running!

cruisin', really!
Anyways, Gian and I have just started this new project- Project Aquarium. Love it how we constantly come up with things to do together, and really just bond. Well, so anyways, we got this kick-ass 5-feet length aquarium last Saturday, and we spent the whole week doing our research.
So yep- first up- landscaping. So whilst I was at work today, he went to get our first additions to the project- some driftwood, gravel, moss, java fern. It's quite tedious really, we need to plant these items first to get the whole nitrogen cycle going, before adding our fishes three weeks later. We are going to plant these babies tomorrow after work (need to soak them overnight) so am super excited!
I can't wait to get my shrimps and have little shrimplets in the aquarium!

A great start to 2012
The new year started off great and I couldn't be happier.
Langkawi was amazing. I wasn't really expecting much really, but the beach turned out pretty wonderful, and I think I may do my diving thing there. We'll see, I still have a million more things at the top of my priorities.
Had an important meeting today, and it turned out better than great! I am confident that I nailed it, but lets see. I am uber excited though!
Meanwhile, it's great to be back at the agency again, and living in Normanton Park. Was leaving for work on Tuesday and there was a fat ass monkey right smack in the middle of my lane, just at my lift lobby. Gave me a heart attack.
So Cris downloaded Alien something something today, we've started this Alien marathon thing with Alien 4 coming soon in the cinemas. I think I am really happy where I am at this point in time, it just tickles me still to come home to have people in the house, watching TV, munching. Nella's kidnapped a hermit crab from Krabi, so we even have a resident hermit crab!
So yea, time to go thru my checklist for the year!
